Anyone born in the state of Missouri from 1920 to the present can get a certified copy of their Birth Certificate at the Health Department. Death Certificates are also available from 1980 to present (if the death occurred in the state of Missouri).
When applying for a birth or death certificate, photo ID is required. All certified copies of vital records are printed on-site for your convenience.
Sometimes we may not be able to acquire the desired copy due to the unique circumstances of the birth or death. In such cases the applicant will have to submit an application to the State of Vital Records for the certificate.
Fee Schedule
- Birth Certificates: $15.00
- Death Certificates: $13.00 for first cert.
- $10.00 for each additional certificate*
*certificate must be for same person
