Mike O'Neal Memorial Community Garden

The Mike O’Neal Memorial Community Garden at the Harrison County Health Department needs your help.  It takes many people to make our garden grow to its potential and produce fresh vegetables that are given back to our community.   If you have just a spare hour in a day or are only able to help one time – your assistance is invaluable to making this community garden a success!  We need volunteers to help plant and weed throughout the summer.

Contact the Health Department today and sign up to volunteer your time and make this year our best yet!

This picking was our largest one yet!  30+ pounds of sweet potatoes along with green beans, radishes, and green peppers.

Our last picking of vegetables happened in October 2017.  For the 2017 year we picked a total of 314 pounds of produce from the Mike O'Neal Memorial Garden and distributed to the Harrison County Food Pantry and the Senior Center!
