Hi! I am Courtney Cross and I have been the administrator for Harrison County Health Department and Hospice for almost six years! I am continually learning what public health means and the unending efforts it takes to educate everyone of the importance of a strong public health system. I am very proud of the work we accomplish each year, adding new programs and services that help prevent, promote, and protect the citizens of Harrison County.
Harrison County Hospice is a another great benefit of the health department. We provide hospice services to patients in Harrison County, as well as parts of Mercer, Daviess, and Gentry counties, and we have been doing so for over 25 years. I believe the success of our hospice lies solely in the quality of care our employees provide. People remember the extra mile our nurses, social worker, and chaplain go to to assure each patient and their family are supported and cared for and in rural Missouri, that extra mile speaks volumes! I couldn’t be prouder of this group of people and I am honored to be a small part of this team!
My husband James and I are parents to two sons. I love football and thankfully, my boys have loved to play the sport! We are also huge dog lovers and I currently have two dogs, but I can always make room for more!
